Colorado Street at US 30 is under construction. The project spans approximately 1100 feet south of US 30 to 1300 feet north of US 30. This project includes safety and drainage improvements, road paving, added turn lanes with lane realignment and median, new signals, and new approaches to businesses.
Traffic on US 30 will be minimally impacted. However, Colorado Street will be closed to northbound traffic throughout construction. During the first phase of construction, the east side of Colorado Street will be reconstructed. During this time, every business will have an entrance that remains open.
Upon completion of Phase I, Phase II will commence on the west side of Colorado Street. Colorado will remain one-way for southbound traffic. Businesses on the west side of Colorado will only be accessible from US 30 during this phase.
A detour map for northbound traffic can be found by clicking here. Northbound traffic will be directed southwest on Harms Road to Mississippi Street, then north on Mississippi Street to 73rd Avenue, then east on 73rd Avenue to Colorado Street.
